March Digital SAT Predictions

The March digital SAT is just around the corner, and I know you’re all gearing up for it. I’ll be sharing my top predictions for what to expect on the digital SAT in March. I’ll cover the types of questions, the level of difficulty, and more.

SAT Prediction Number 1

Many students believe this test will be easy, but I predict it will be challenging. The test isn’t any easier than previous SATs, and the new digital format might actually make it more challenging, especially for students facing the harder Module 2 questions.

SAT Prediction Number 2

Students are likely to feel underprepared due to the lack of materials for the digital SAT. The College Board tests and prep books have limitations, and there’s a lack of established strategies for the new format. Consider using additional resources like our digital SAT testing app for more practice. In addition, I would recommend you purchase our Decoding the Digital SAT prep book, filled with practice tests and test taking strategies.

SAT Prediction Number 3

The math scaling on this test might be unforgiving. With only 44 questions, getting a few wrong could significantly impact your score. Additionally, some questions, especially in the harder module, are more challenging than past SAT questions.

SAT Prediction Number 4

Vocabulary will be crucial. While I don’t recommend studying word lists, it’s important to improve your vocabulary and strategy for word-in-context questions, as they play a significant role in the English section.

SAT Prediction Number 5

Technical issues might occur. While most administrations have been smooth, there’s always a chance of technical glitches. Be prepared by ensuring your device works properly and is fully charged.

SAT Prediction Number 6

Knowing how to use the desmos calculator can give you an edge. It’s a powerful tool that can help you solve math questions quickly and efficiently, potentially boosting your score.

For those of you with about less than a month left to prepare, here’s a study plan: Find the right materials, set a goal, make a plan, carve out study time, and consider additional resources like courses or tutoring to supplement your preparation.Remember, you’ve got this!
