LSAT Tutor

Curvebreakers’ owner, Nicholas LaPoma, Esq, is an effective LSAT tutor who’s had proven success on the LSAT and is familiar with the strategies needed to increase students’ scores. According to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), the average first-time test-taker’s score is app. 150, but to get into the nation’s top law schools, students need to score at least a 166. Preparation is necessary to ensuring acceptance into the law school of your choice.

The best way to practice for any standardized test is by taking timed practice tests. The LSAC offers four, official free practice tests through LawHub, and for a nominal fee, prospective law students can access all of their practice materials. Learn more about preparing for the LSAT here.

When to reach out to an LSAT tutor

First, research the law schools you want to apply to and find the 50th-percentile score of accepted students. If you’ve taken a couple practice tests and you’re not hitting these scores, reach out to someone who is more familiar with the LSAT. An LSAT tutor should be able to review answer explanations and offer insights and strategies into the test to help increase your score.
