SAT Training for Teachers

Digital SAT training for teachers empowers teachers to bring effective instruction for the digital SAT into their classrooms.

Full-day training seminars offers teachers eight hours of professional development. The Digital SAT curriculum is available to teachers and admininstrators who participate in Curvebreakers’ professional development program.

After completing Curvebreakers’ SAT training, teachers will be able to:

  • Interpret and explain the format, timing, and scoring of the Digital SAT.
  • Employ and instruct their students on how to apply Curvebreakers' Test-Taking Strategies to achieve favorable outcomes on the Digital SAT.
  • Use Curvebreakers' digital SAT curriculum to plan, organize, and run Curvebreakers’ SAT signature partnership course.

Digital SAT Curriculum

Curvevbreakers' curriculum for the digital SAT is a culmination of real-world class experiences, student SAT outcomes, and learning techniques. The result is an effective program that boosts student confidence, improves overall test-taking skills, and increases college readiness.

Digital SAT Curriculum Includes:

  • Decoding the Digital SAT Student Course Workbook
  • 8-Session Lesson Plan
  • Answer Keys and Explanations
Adaptive Digital SAT Curriculum

Adaptive

The digital format of the SAT is new, and Curvebreakers learns more about the exam with each official administration. Our development team regularly revisits the curriculum and evaluates its effectivness by tracking students’ practice test scores before, during, and after the course.

Collaborative Digital SAT Curriculum

Collaborative

Every school has its own goals when it comes to preparing students for post-secondary education. Curvebreakers molds its curriculum around the needs of each stakeholder, providing a shortened or more robust program than the out-of-the-box 8-session / 18-hour course.

Student-centered Digital SAT Curriculum

Student-Centered

One of the greatest challenges of group preparation is the varying skill level of the participants. Our flexbile curriculum supports the learning of each student by being able to give more time to specific concepts or question types. Student participation is necessary to work through questions and strategies, and the first session is dedicated to establishing a comfortable and inviting learning atmosphere.

The SAT Training Process for Teachers

INFORM

We stay up to date on the latest trends in the world of the SAT so you don't have to. What is an adaptive test? What is a DESMOS calculator? How do my students annotate a digital test? Our team will make sure that you have all of the latest and most important information ready to impart on your students when you begin your school's SAT program.

MODEL

Our highly-trained master instructors will model for you our proven strategies and teaching techniques that make our SAT program effective. We realize that you know your students better than anyone, so you choose the teaching techniques that you feel are best suited for your school's population.

ENGAGE

"Engagement" is an enigmatic word when it comes to education and it is a large part of our training and SAT program. The goal is to have you engage with us, each other, and the materials. This is done through a series of activities, deep dives, and teachbacks. Lastly, we want you to see how you can make even something as seemingly boring as the SAT engaging for your students.

SUPPORT

Our job is not done when the training is done. You will inevitably have questions after we say goodbye. When you do, we're here for you. We will check in regularly and be on call when you need assistance running your school's SAT program. Call us, email us, Zoom us. We're here for you.
