CHSEE & TACHS

The Catholic High School Entrance Exam (CHSEE) gives some objective data about eighth-grade students who are applying to Catholic High Schools on Long Island. The Catholic High schools on Long Island use the CHSEE examination results to make decisions about applicants. Many schools also use the information for grouping and tracking of ninth-grade students. Similarly, the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS) is needed to apply to Catholic High Schools located in New York City.
